From the house

A trail starts a few hundred yards from the driveway. It connects into Wintergreen’s trail network, which has more than 30 miles of marked trails.

Three Ridges · Reid’s Gap is five minutes away. The full loop is 13.4 miles and hard, but you can go out and back as far as you like for the views.
Blue Ridge Parkway overlooks · a few minutes past Reid’s Gap. Plenty of easy pull-off walks.
Crabtree Falls · about 30 minutes. Virginia’s tallest waterfall, with a well-built trail to several overlooks.
Humpback Rocks · about 25 minutes. Short, steep, and one of the best sunrise spots on the Parkway.
